808mm to inches = 31
makes me wonder if they copied or modified the Hasbro legacy MF which is by chance.... 31" If they copied the MR MF then it would be 32"

Seems like a scam to me...no mentioning of a kit price and want you to subscribe to a magazine.

I thought it was an early April Fools joke at first - too much on the website for that.
If you check the FAQ you'll note that the first "issue" is GBP 2.99 and subsequent are GBP 8.99. I don't know whether that includes shipping, my guess is that might be extra as it is more than just a flat magazine they are sending you. It also mentions that there are over 100 "issues", so you are looking at a minimum of GBP 900 for the replica - sounds high to me, considering you have to contribute your own labour; but then I don't know the price of a completed replica. Issues would come out every week, so it would take 2 years to have everything delivered. The big question is what happens if the project/company goes bust ? You would have a partially completed model with no way to finish it. Sounds like an interesting concept, but one to stay away from - primarily for the risk factor.

DeAgostini have brought out other magazine models.
I bought the red baron set years ago to build a museum quality model. Unfortunately that model I could have bought a lot cheaper than what I ended up paying for the magazine set... None the less despite its most likely inaccuracies this is a significant offering. If only Disney would bring out studio scale kits for us to build that have been correctly scanned we would be in heaven.

If anyone is interested in good 1/24 scale figures, check theirs out too. They're made as chess pieces and are very well sculpted. They'd be good for scale reference next to a TIE or x-wing. I've been collecting some. It seems the license is for Europe/South America. The figures, and small spaceships, aren't available in the US at least. I've gotten them from Spain and Argentina so far.

I contacted DeAgostini UK, and the falcon is not available to Canada.

Some a good, some very good etc. Great set all together though.

Only UK for the time being, they are saying there are no plans for other countries, but one can only hope...

So, had some kind words with Deagostini USA.
Plans are to bring the kit as 25 monthly magazines to North America. Timeframe is early 2015. I am led to understand production is indeed underway...inventory, build guides, etc. Attached a 'Prototype' pic also from the kind folks of Deagostini USA. Posted with permission. I personally think it looks very nice and will assuredly be purchasing the subscription. Edit: To clarify, my note says '25 month build', not necessarily 25 monthly magazines.

Agreed. It does look very nice.
Hope it comes to Australia.

Okay. This has now been officially launched in the UK with 4 issues to date so far so I'm wondering if people have been converted given the number of changes that De Agostini have made to the product. At the moment there's still no official date for an Australian release but I'm hoping for no later than March/April.

I'm in. Eagerly awaiting. Keep us updated for the Austealuan release.

Still no word.
If anyone else contacts them don't email them. I've sent 2 emails now at different times and got 3 replies and the replies are all the same, word for word. Best to call them direct.

Any word for Australian release?
03-17-2015, 07:17 PM
I'm guessing NZ will get it at the same time Australia does but there's STILL no word on an Australian release date but most people seem to thing it could be late this month or early April. I've already got Issues 4-6 from someone who got them as extras but still wouldn't mind getting 1-3 before it's released
I'm really only after the blueprint. Anyone know where this blueprint has originated from, and how accurate it is?

Worked off the Master Replicas Falcon & updated with all the work you guys did... That was taken from the working thread. With no credit. Of course.

I bought the first issue off ebay so I could get a copy of the blueprint. It's labelled as being a '1:1 scale' 'actual size' blueprint. I laid the 8Rad piece that goes along the top of the cockpit corridor onto the plan, as it's one of the longer reference parts that is relatively flat in plan view. Comparing the two, the part drawn on the plan is a little on the short size.
It is a good looking plan though, someone has put a fair amount of work into it.
