I have for sale my spare set of acrylics for a pair of studio scale Battlestar bays. All parts are there which are substructure, laser scribed top skins and the laser cut plating. Also includes acrylics for rear end cap internal support which you can have the caps slide out if you choose with this design.
They bays go together like a jigsaw pretty much with all parts being laser scribed with a part number and direction indicator. All these parts were created by Charles Adams for the Custom Replicas build and kit's.
Now theres a couple of things to be aware of. First the openings for the armature cross pipe are smaller than 2" and will need to be opened up with a dremel to fit a standard 2" pipe. I did this to my set when i fitted it to the original build which used the 2" pipe. It was no problem at all.
Second thing to be aware of the bays were designed so the CR kit was symmetrical. One of the bays on the original is about 1/4" shorter than the other but CR demanded bays be equal length so the port bay is about a 1/4" longer than the original.
This set of acrylics cost me about US$650 when i purchased it a few years back. Looking for US$500 plus postage if anyones interested.
Oh and another thing to be aware of could be postage. From the US to me back then was another US$125 on top. It's a heavy box as theres a real lot to this kit.
Thanks for looking.
