Hi Everybody. My name is Mike Starling. I work at a hobby shop in NC. My main Interests are 1/72 and 1/48 scale aircraft models, sci-fi subjects of all types including kits, scratchbuilds and kitbashing. I've become interested in SSM recently and have been working, off and on, on a 1/2 studio scale ESB Stardestroyer. I also have Charles Adams revised BSG plans and about half of the kits i need for that project. I don't have much time to post, but i will occasionally throw a little something up here to let everyone know I'm alive. I look forward to being a member of the community. BTW, who the heck is micdavis? Someone asked me if i was him. I take it he's not welcome here???

Hi Guys,
I didn't want to plug the shop on the forum because i didn't want to seem like I was trolling for free advertising, LOL. But since you asked, I'm at Hayes Hobby House in Fayetteville.

No problem. If you think you can offer a good service & some interesting stuff put your shop in the Market section.

Thats about an hour from where I live.. All the Hobby Shops in Cary and Raleigh closed down.. Well save for one... Tom Trains.. they do sell glue and paints.. but no models except those that pertain to model electric trains. The other hobby shop is dedicated to RC controlled stuff..so there again, no models.. or glue or paint.

Welcome aboard MikeyBudd!
Your shop could make another forum member happy if you still have a Fine Molds Millennium Falcon lying around?

Anyone who has a small hobbyshop is more than welcome to the board. Especially since video games, and the digital world have come crashing around us replacing traditional modeling, and family entertainment. This is what we strive to do - replace the digital world as much as possible to recapture the old world of modeling magic. Welcome aboard, and have what we hope will be an enjoyable time for you,as well as everyone else who visits our community. ~ Cobra Chris

Actually thats ok... because I only paid twice that.. and that was cheap. All the others I could find were 3 or 4 times that price. At anyrate, Im deciding between actually building it... or sitting on it as an investment

Are they OOP?

My distributors have not restocked them, I suspect because of price and slow sales. (03-18-2010, 07:51 AM)jasonwright.1972 Wrote: Are they OOP? I haven't seen anything to indicate that they are OOP.
