Ok just to get back in the game I'll start wirh this.
The Deagostinni Build the Millennium Falcon
Waited a while for this.
Love it. Thinks it's absolutely a fantastic offering.
Going to build it with my son.
No mods, straight out the box.
Paint will be the only addition to the offered kit.
I'm building one too, but will be modding and correcting where needed. Plus I'll be replacing about 3/4 of the kit parts with original parts. I'd already started collecting them before this came to market. I'm also not going to use any of the interiors except for the cockpit and cannons.
Either way it's an amazing piece and giving many a piece they could never before make.

Mate did you get the corrected V2 part as I could only find the older V1 part here in Toowoomba. Its a bit shit house that they are still selling the incorrect part when they changed it. I'm trying to get a correct one from rats over in WA

OK I think I have them back to front sorry. First is supposed to be the new part but they stuffed up the side plating making it flush with the top when they actually had that part correct. This is a bit confusing but Im going to see if I can find some reference to this part and see what's wrong and write. Will change my post above and I think keep my dumb ass out of stuff im not sure about.
Personally I think it's rude they have had this fixed part for some time delivering it to other countries and they decide to lump Australia with the older version to just get rid of it. I wonder then do we get the attached part from issue 3 Will be incorrect as well

No. That's what this Site is all about. Teaming up & finding answers

Thanks mate. I think I have sorted it out with my above post with the pick of the latest part and looks like no one in Australia is getting the V3 corrected part.
I'm going almost full Eaton on mine, but keeping some of the DeAg parts (mostly if I don't have the kit parts)
There's some areas on the DeAg, like the inner Jaws that I feel are really bad, and have removed completely, more on that later.
On the flip side, many are very good and don't always need replacing, I just am if I already have the kit parts.
These are the upper tunnels
The lower ones (sealing up the ramp they added)
Lower Turret:
Lower Engine:
And the mostly complete Lower:
I'm moving the to cockpit next and then waiting a couple of months until I have all the Upper section.
Either way, with a good paint job, it's going to be a hell of a piece.
Besides the money what ya doing there is another reason I couldn't take one of these on. Wouldn't have been able to help meself wanting to replace a lot of stuff. Should look that lil bit sharper with what ya doing and it'll paint up real nice for sure with your talent mate.
That's A great build there. I'm going to go about 15% Eaton on mine just the real obvious stuff but what you're doing is a real help with deciding what to change
Lov'n it Lee! This is just how I hope to do mine as well, I will be watching your build closely...I may also want to pick your brain for a few part ID's
I see you have left your mounting points in, do you plan on using them? What about the lighting and landing legs, are you keeping them too?
Looking forward to seeing more!
BTW, thanks for posting up your reference photos, they are very helpful.
Damn Lee that's some nice redetailing your doing.
I considered this but am just going to build it with my son.
Well he's going to build it so not going to complicate any more than is.
Its really an amazing kit offering as is.
My OCD is diminished.
imurme - for now I'm keeping the four mounting point as it, I have to mount it one way or another and I haven't decided yet what I'm going to to. Same goes for power. I won't be using the center interior/ramp/landing gear, but there will be lighting. I'll probably run a cable down whatever the mounting point is.

Holy smokes that's awesome Lee!! I'm not going that far but replacing some of the parts here and there that don't hold up for sure, mainly stuff on the engine back and sidewalls.
Man really cool to see!!
So I found a couple pieces that DeAgo just overlooked I guess, do you know what they are from, I saw Mensa's part map for the cockpit tunnel part but it just says SCARN and I cant figure out which kit that refers too.
appreciate any help!
