Am starting on the SS Vipers this week.

Great news, have you got the sculpt for the viper pilot yet ? If so can we see a pic Thanks Gans http://www.brisbanemodelbuilder.com/ (02-08-2012, 10:58 AM)jase72 Wrote: Am starting on the SS Vipers this week.

So at present am just testing with some colors of the resin for my kits.
Ive been using the Viper pilot for this so can hopefully upload a picture for you. I 'hope' to cast the pilots head in a clear resin so it can be easily lit without using fibre optics for those that want the helmet to look like the prop helmets. Once Ive got the color of the resin sorted we're all go. I just want to apolagise to all those eargerly awaiting kits but my main priority's are to make sure everyone gets the best kit I can deliver.

Jase- Thanks for the add! Forgot to tell you I'd be in for the pilot as well. Looking forward to seeing it!

daverep - I finally get my computer back tomorrow so can upload some pics of the pilot for you.
radiant777 - welcome to studioscakemodelers. There are plenty of very knowlegable BSG modelers on this site with a tremndus amount of reference on the BSG models. The Viper kits will soon be ready & the others will then follow so your definately in the right place.

I would like to purchase a Viper if I could be included on the list. Thank you.
And just to make sure, this is the new version of the TOS Viper that Mike produced correct? Thanks again.
02-24-2012, 10:03 AM
goose814 this is the SS TOS Viper that was mastered by MSLZ22 Models.
Added to the list.
Back into production January 2013 ??
Yes sorry.
Unfortunately I had to remold a couple of parts & ran out of materials. As it costs considerabley to purchase materiaal to produce kits I have had to wait until funds become available. I have most of the kits already cast up with just the last couple of parts to do. I hope to get these done by next week. Once the molds are producing good castings there will be no delays. I also work 3 jobs & have two kids a dog & a wife to attend to so I ask that all waiting for these kits please be understanding & patient until they are ready. Thankyou.
Please add me to the studio Viper list.
Thanks

Done.
Hopefully you've read through the thread & know where we're at. Which isn't far away.
Ok got the computer functioning which is great.
For how long who knows. So heres a couple of pics to show you I have been working. ![]() There are absolutely no bubbles in any of these pieces. Any pieces with bubbles or deformaties ar put aside. ![]() Yo can also see the pilot cast in clear. Its actually cast in 'Crystal Clear' but if you leave it to fully cure in the mold it gets a frosted finish which is good. hopefully these will keep you interested. If not Im going to have a big squadron of Vipers!

Castings look great Jase . Being able to light the helmet on the clear cast pilot will be a nice addition to this kit !!!!

I will send you one Kenny.

The cockpit will be cast in clear also for easy lighting for those going that rout.
The originals didn't have a cockpit array, just the Harrier pilots which will be the way I will go. Thanks jedimaster won't keep you waiting too long but I know you already have a 'few' builds on your benches mate.

Again sorry for the delay to all those waiting & appreciate everyones patience

Can you put my name down for a studio scale Viper and a Studio Scale Colonial Shuttle
03-04-2012, 12:58 PM
I just wanted to chime in and say that the shuttle kit is absolutely fantastic. Definitely do not miss out on this one if you're a fan of this ship.

Sometimes I build and think and sometimes I just build.

Hey Jase , just an idea , or maybe you have allready thought about doing it already . How about numbering each kit as they are made ? Might even add to the collectability ! Say , I have # 1 of a run of 500 of the newly tooled salzo/ Wright ss viper kit ... for example .

Could be cool as i will be getting a plaque made up and couldnt hurt having a number on there.

03-21-2012, 02:59 PM
No worries.
First run of Vipers now closed. Will be ready to ship by weeks end. All going to schedule. Small run of Antique Vipers going next. Raider is on hold for short time. Thanks

Hey Jase
Just wanted to let you know, that I'm really, really, really interested in all 4 kits .. but right now I can't really commit me to binding orders .. since my sparse funding are tied into a Salzo v3 X-Wing I'll get my gruppy little hands on next week ... plus the upcoming Gold Leader Y-Wing from Neisen ... but if you plan to run some of the kits late 2012 or the start of 2013, I would very likely be ready to join the list ... Really great you bought these masters ...... Can't wait to (hopefully) add these kits to the studioscale collection
Cheers

Hi Will you be emailing or PM people on the list when their Viper is ready for payment...........or how does it work?? Thanks Gans
03-28-2012, 07:44 AM
I will post pictures of the kit once all parts are accounted for. Once this is done all kits will be ready for shipping. Ther will be some on the list not ready to pay & maybe some changrd their mind. No one is obligated to proceed once ready to ship. I will send a pm to get shipping address so shipping can be calculated. Any excess shpping cost once posted will be refunded. Any extra I will cover as it may vary once at the post office.
Once these final parts are ready kits can be made in a matter of hours. Not days or weeks. Thanks for everyones patience.

Hi Jason,
I notice you've updated the list and now I only have one viper. I actually wanted two, one with landing gear down and one with gear up. Cheers, looking forward to these babies, JT
03-31-2012, 08:22 AM
Ah sorry.
I changed it as thought you meant just wanted the landing gear down configuration. Am more than happy to add another mate. So thanks to an extremely good friend & colleague (wombat) everything is in stock needed for the SS Viper Kits final production. I will have pics up as soon as possible & after today I am on vacation so have lots of time to knock out these kits. I actually have an Antique Viper already cast & boxed for shipping first thing Monday. So looks like Jason Eaton's Antique Viper is my first kit sale for JAWS Models. Stay tuned things are happening now.
Heres a couple of pictures of AV1before I packed her for shipping.

Hi
I am already on the list for a viper but can I make it with the landing gear down please Thanks Gans
04-01-2012, 11:22 AM
Is that *my* kit!? Suh-wheet! I can't wait to see it wash up on the shore here in the States. I'm honored to be the first one to go into hock for this new run of these kits. I'll let you know when it arrives. Throw a 'roo in the box while you're at it; my little girls would love to have a new pet.

Scott Graham did a great job in interpreting what I thought would go well. He's great like that when doing business. Thanks Scott ![]() So will add you to the list Mark. Thanks for your enquiry & will let you know when these are on line. Ok so delay delays unfortunately as Im being as fussy as I can with these molds. Ive gone back & redone the wings as I was unhappy with the seam line But heres a picture of the almost ready to go version 2 Mk1 SS Viper. |
