I agree with you, Phil.
That came up when I was thinking of ways to make the repair parts look different enough that they read as “new pieces added on†instead of part of the mess of framing of the broken wing. Maybe just a different color of metal with different rust/weathering effect will do.
I’m going to add in a few more bits and loose wires to fill in the gaps.
