I havent scratched all the vent parts, the front ones are resin, I will just scratch the pocket and side vents !
Don't worry about the measurements, they are standard (they have to be to fit the dome !!) and the plans can be found on the yahoogroup!
As for the styrene dome, it's done by the same guys offering the aluminium so it's exactly the same !!
I wouldnt worry about the metal effect of the dome, some of the screen used R2 had fiberglass domes (mainly in the new trilogy though) !

I didn't know Phil sold his kit. I was going to measure up all the parts but there were a LOT in there and it scared me off. I should have at least measured the basic dimensions. Oh well. The main problem was the expensive aluminium dome, but I didn't know that styrene versions were available. Very cool. I'm sure that a convincing metal effect could be achieved using two pack metallic paint and brushing effects.
