While this one started out as a "design study" it then evolved into a challenge of sorts, to add about as much lighting as I could? I actually had it all buttoned up one time then split it back apart since the lighting was an afterthought. Jase, it's straightforward stuff with 555 and 4017 chips for which there are a few different online tutorials existing. I merely looked them up and ripped them off as my own- um, I mean, followed the instructions.
Except in the case of some rather "specific" circumstances you can easily light almost any scfi project armed with readily available supplies (at nominal cost) and a lil time on the net. I've yet to purchase a lighting kit though I mean no insult to the makers of such items and they certainly offer a viable alternative.
