Do we really need another BSG Shuttle GAL 356?

It's daunting to open up the box and see the bag o' parts. But the castings are pretty clean overall and sorting through them along with the reference photos posted here on the site really did turn out to be a lot of fun. "Oh, that's an airplane fuselage" and "that part's from Tamiya tank XYZ" and so forth.

Of the hundreds of resin cast parts that go all over the exterior of the shuttle, I think that I only discovered one that was broken in transit (landing gear brace; easy fix) and maybe two small parts that were missing. They could easily be left off the kit and no-one would know, but fortunately I have the original donor kits for those parts so I can cast replacements. Jase (JAWS) has been very responsive, however, so I am sure that he would have been willing to send the replacements had I asked.

My only disappointment in this build so far is that I didn't grab one of the GAL 356 T-shirts that were printed by someone in the studio scale modeling community a year or two back. I need one to wear while I'm working on the GAL !!
