Hi guys.
Sorry for the delay, but time is currently something which is running through my fingers like sand.
As it is my first Y-Wing build, i had thought a lot about how to start and with which part.
Finaly i thought on starting with the cockpit, than go over to the mainbody and finaly switch over to the engines.
As i also want to build the cockpit part with screwed together halfs, i will have enough room for the whole electronic in it, as well.
Also it should be easy later to reach the electronics if needed as it's screwed and not glued.
How ever, talked enough lets build something..
First as always, sand grind and make some test fittings.
The windowframe part needs some reshaping in boiling water, should be no big deal.
Lets move over to the switch handle.
The switch should later work in 3 positions.
Engines ON
Engines and Front Laser ON
OFF
Lets do some milling session:
Also drilled the holes in the lower section.
(Hope i got the wonky hole positions correct as on the original model)
Will do some rods in the opposite part that those can be screwed together later.
Just asking for the moment, if i have to "drill and destroy" the nice backframe part.
As there should the armatur go through later, shouldn't it?
So far for now, hope the next update will be much faster.
Thx. for watching.
