I think we are seeing a revolution in scratch built studio models in the making.
I have a magazine article showing the use of legos to make the box around the rubber when molding. They can be reused over and over. Not sure if this would work if you're putting them in pressure/vacuum pots but may be something to consider if the stryene use gets expensive or troublesome. I'll get the article scanned next week and post it.
