Looking great there mate nice work! I like the jig.
The waist is one of the hardest areas to work with as it is probably the worst spot on the ship for symmetry! You are going to have to do a lot of tweaking on it to get all the parts to fit! I spent almost a year working it out on the 3d model. I would suggest building it in 3d a few times. If you do not have a cad program, download Sketch-Up. It has a free version that works great.
