Well dropped the kids off & got straight back to it this morning. Want to get the lower section fixed up & in place so I can then take the engine plate & upper slope piece to work for some modification Then will be onto the waist which is apparently quite a headache & said to be the hardest part of the ship to get right. Totally looking forward to that 
Trench floor & lower outer side wall attached with lower slope
There is a 1mm gap either side in the trench wall & outer lower side wall to the engine plate.
Using the engine plate to make sure the trench floor is horizontal & lines up
Both sides looking goos
Cutting some 1mm styrene to 'shim' up the trench wall & lower side wall
Trench & side wall 'shimmed' (just learnt this term & meaning, luckily
)
Much better now, can move on to upper slope & trench ceiling.
