From what I can see from looking at all the the pics there are two slightly different slope angles there: about 6-7 degrees of difference. I would estimate by Jason's shims that they should be about half that tall at the rear end to get the proper angle.
It was looking pretty good, but Jason was correct in the angle was too steep, I can see that now that he tore it apart for a rebuild.
