Yes , It's almost essential ,in order to make sure you have the right shape ,and amount of surface area to fit those greeblies .Test fit many times and glue only once !!!!! But the great amount of new info avilable from fellow battlestar builders ,is of the greatest help.Many thanks to all of you !!!!
