Studio Scale Battlestar Galactica Shuttle

I have to make the base first as there is a 'main' power line that will run down through the armature to a switch. The model can be powered through the other 3 mount points though will probably never use them other than to show off everyonce & a while. Im also trying to devise a way to be able to swap the lights around from LED to Halogen. That way I can show it how it was & sometimes just leave it on with the LED's. She's pretty much assembled other tha the few parts coming from Mike in the next week. The interior is painted. Im trying to figure out a base? Go plain or build a flight deck style base for the Shuttle to sit on? Maybe some flashing lights? Open to all suggestions. Would really like something that displays it well?
