Quick fix alert.
The part over the port side hatch should be removed. This part only occurs on the starboard side. Hopefully you can knock it off without damage.
I just realised this myself tonight while I was trying to figure out which of these parts went where since there are 2 different styles to these that look nearly the same. I think I have that figured out but still really hard to tell for sure in the ref pics.
