eh up wombat cheers for ya reply mym8,the inner walkway is smaller that the cockpit tunnel,if i get you right do you mean like a vanishing point effect?i`ve been thinking about it today in work and i think i`ve come up with a plan/solution!just got to try it out,i`ll give it a go later or tomorrow and if it works i`ll post my answer and how it works...cheers peza

eh up all.
i`ve done some more work on my build,i`ve finished the painting of the inner walkway     .also of also made myself a hinge for the ramp by usin the metal bar off the back of an old laptop key an some styrene.            
i`ve also 90% finished the detail on the outer ramp only a lttle bit to do         and then it`s primer and the detail on the inner and the light leakage.

eh up all.
i just finished the inner detail othe walls to the boarding ramp sides,all i gotta do is put the fibre optics into the dark grey control panels.
but first i want to matt black it all on the inside to stop light leakage.here are acouple of images hope ya like..cheers peza

Outstanding scratchbuilding Peza! Really cool detail that will make your model one of a kind. Clever engineering too, just make sure that ramp hinge is epoxied or something similar. You don't want to be cracking the hull open later on to fix it.

eh up all.
i have been doin alittle more on my build
,i`ve managed to get my walkway in and the 2 inner walls of the boardin ramp.
if you lok at the front of the walkway you`ll see that i`ve cu it shorter than the back this is so i can get a gun turret station in there but i think i`m gonna struggle to be honest,but before i start bashig things in the garden or swearing i`ll try it first,buti`ve got a sneaky feeling it`s goin to well at the mo...well anyhow here are 2 images of my progress hope ya like cheers peza

eh up all,i`ve not done alot this week but i did put one LED into my walkway and got it workin.and tried out the boarding ramp with the legs on and it looks alright?i think so...here are 2 images and hopefully i`ll get cracking on with it this week!cheers for lookin in...peza

eh up all.
i`ve been doin abit more on my old buzzard this week.
firstly i made up my 16 LED`s for the landing lights.
next i made some caps for the LED`s to sit on,which go on the tubes in the model,but before i could mount them i had me level up the tubes which i started by using my mini files but i took too long so i ended up using my dremel with a circular disk in the middle of the tubes and used the edge of the disk to grind it down all the way round at once.
once they were mounted i started to knock up some rings for the cable to run through with abit of plumbers pipe.and the last thing i did was to go in my shed with my mobile as a torch to find some cable,and the old hoover got it,a sacrafice for the greater good!!but i`ve not told the wifeyet(gum shield on standby!!)
i`ve put some images and i`ll post again once i get it wired up and the lights are working................cheers peza

eh up all,
i`ve been doin abit more this week,for widardofthenorth i`ve taken afew photos and try to say what and how i`m buildin my bits.hears the first image.     its i`ve the photo referance of the piece i`m about to build,i think that it`s a gearbox part?    

i start of with some 2mm thick styrene and cut it down to size and round of the edges.

.next i shape up the edges and cut up some fibre optic cable which is only half mm thick,but i dont think ya can ya can see it on the photos(wait til i primer it and i think ya will be able to see it).

            now to made the circular shape at the other end i first dremel up one of me old pens and put some half mm thick styrene over the top and with some styrene tube insert it in to the middle.

finally i make the clock effect and surrounded it with some more thin styrene,so thats one down and one to go!

eh up all,
i finished off the back detail and once i tried to marry up the two halves
it was plain to see that somewhere along my build i`ve cut down the mandibles for some stupid reason!!
so i`ve been remaking the mandibles and the maintenance access points.
i finished them off today so hopefully over the next week i can start to marry them up and get the two halves together at long last!!

eh up all,
sorry for bein away for so so long but i`m back on my build again i`ve only started back today!so i`ve had to have a good look over it all to see where i left off and where i wish to continue.oh and some repair`s from a drunken friend(pullin the boardin ramp open to far,which was bad....but then tried to help me by forcin it shut and snappin bit`s off.....ouch!god bless ya mates.
so i started on the joinin the 2 halves together but due to the number of lights in it i dont want to seal it shut with glue.so i bought some threaded bolts with some nuts which i can fasten it all shut with the added help from a few magnets placed here and there around the edges to draw it together.
   
so like i said i got these bolts,but the heads were way to big,but i liked the alan key heads instead of a bolt or screw head,with a dremel and half an hour i cut the heads down to something i wanted.
    the next thing was to cut the inside of the top for the nuts and then 2 part epoxy and milliput to fix them into place..
   
and finally while my milliput is dryin i fixed the ramp and tested the tunnel light on the interior(so happy it`s fixed and workin again).....i will pull my friends fingers off if he touches it again...so i`m just waitin for the bolt mounts to dry now and i`m off again on.....happy buildin!!cheers peza
