Ok so I haven't done squat for quite a while now as I just don't have any room & limited resources while all my gear is in storage & living with the inlaws until we buy our property.
I had the opportunity to pick up a ANH Escape Pod hull from Mr salzo who is casting up Vaderdarth's V2 ANH Escape Pod kit.
Casting is great as usual from Mr Salzo & the kit was reworked by John Curri who has given us some fantastic offerings through Nice 'N' Models.
The hull comes on 4 sections. The main body is roto cast & done very nicely. There is little detail cast on the hull sections as has been cast seperately.
On this build i will be removing the little detail there is on the sections & just leaving the plating.
The model will be then primered & painted a matt black which will be the only paint going on this piece.
The aim is to show the basic model structure with all the colored actual kit parts.
No castings what so ever will go on this model.
I will be adding the decals that were used which are being supplied by Jason Eaton from his 'ANH Decal Set'.
Just want it bare to highlight the detail process that went into the construction of the actual studio miniature.
I will then make a second Pod that will be painted to show the finished product of the studio scale process to sit side by side.
Photos will be added this evening when I get home..
