Ok when we moved out there was a terrible accident & Brad's Galactica was destroyed, well close to it.
So now am starting work on repairing it. It's been at the front of my storage shed awaiting attention
Those Galmonging Cylons sure did a number on that Battlestar!

Most of the Galactica Replica builders piss someone off in some online community at some time or other, its just a few that are so good at it that they can piss off everyone at the same time!
I am not concerned at all, accidents happen and I am sure Jason and I can eventually put it right
It will look better than before. Have to start looking at buying more kits now

The Portside bay is pretty clean after being rubbed back. There is a lot of dust & overspray over dust that made this model a bit rough in its later days. Going to have to rub the whole model down as you can distinctively see the difference between new & old. So yeah she is going to look sharper than she did prior to the attack. Lucky acrylic breaks cleanly so as long as I have all the bits it shouldn't be a problem to get back together again.
Got the Back Plate back together. Not happy with the bottom part. Just wouldn't sit in flush. Sanding will fix it. The Port sits in well so am not going to mess with it.
ok so the Back Plate has been repaired. A quick spin on the belt sander evened the bottom edge out in seconds. I hate sanding acrylics...
Just have to smooth over the joins, a little filler around the Ports & it's ready for some kit parts that fell off or weren't on yet. happy about this. Brad did a pretty good job of the Ports & was worried they were screwed. Probably the last things on this model I want to have to rebuild, since I did mine like 3 or 4 times & still not happy with them.

My wife's ol man let bring the G home to work on. He's not a fan of things lying around, well stuff that's not his anyway. So on to rebuilding the back end & the Starboard Bay.
I'm 99% confident I have all the bits. Also confident the Starboard Bay will go back together well.
Getting there bit by bit. The Engine Box & Waist, which I only just finished modifying for Brad, should be done by tonight. Can spend tomorrow on the Bay.
Back to work.
Adding some under supports to the broken areas. He's to get the joins flush as well as strengthen. Nearly got the top back together. The seams will be filled & sanded.
