Looking quite likely mate. There appears to be the little three barrelled grenade launcher on top of a couple of them. I'm so out of touch with kit IDs these days, but someone else will tell you which tank it is.

Cool. I was just going to say (guess) it looks like a modern tank hull. Maybe M109. It looks like maybe the Chieftan turret.

Yeah ended up being a quick painless ID Guy, good job you had one to determine, so little documented on these, Juliens email tells of another in the other well though?
Lee
I know, theres seems to be rogue Hull in there,

Maybe check a few Fujimi 1/76 mate, could even be a Bandai part, need a better look!

Julien i dont recall, but now its out there, ill see what i can dig up for you guys, as i said, id be happy just to build a hull and bug out lol, so wing wells are the least of my worries haha, but I'm gonna look for it, this part is a cross between a Sheridan and Scorpion hood, with German based armour haha, sounds easy huh, yikes lol.
bests.......lee
Some more of the minor but frustrating details to locate.
Some more

Going through various other ref we took mate, tricksy haha, i think we got the basics now to size it pretty spot on though now!

And I thought the falcon cockpit had parts that were hard to ID. This is a whole new level.... two levels!
What is that purple mess!?

Yep I can see that... if I squint, and tilt my head a little
![]() but have they sanded part of the flak away or are other parts over the top? There's clearly other parts around it.
Just one small key part to get before I can size this all up pretty damn well, if anyone can spot what trimmed hull these vents are from I'd be stoked, I think its most likely from air fix rather than rock, as the airfix panther fits well in its place but isn't correct
Is there any chance they could be naval, like maybe the Taiho? I don't have a feel for the size.
10-10-2014, 05:38 PM
I'm pretty sure they're trimmed
Small update, its took a long time to get nearly all these parts and still a few really annoying little thins to get n=but at last having fun building the seat section, I.m convinced now the main east is Roco hull but I decided to scratch it as time is short
I have to say Old Boba has a lot of crap to climb over to get into place!!!!!

Teamwork and a lot of lurking in weird positions at the exhibition, I think they're glad to see the back of me !!!
Few teething issues but getting there

Love to see a plan come together, thats looking killer mate, the Slave cockpit, who would have thought that possible to this extent a ways back, keen eyes indeed!

Cheers fellas, I think we're down to 2 id'd missing from this hole assembly, well from what we can actually see in the ref that is, the floor is a lot more complicated but it's just impossible to work out but I've a few bits sorted I think :-)
Once I get this done and around another 5 kits land at my door then there is nothing left but to build the sub structure and start thinking about the coned front, if I had em I'd say next week it's be built !!!!
10-17-2014, 04:53 PM
Was thinking about the coned dash last night mate, maybe get the vac former in play?
Ill look for those parts when i get up later buddy, but i got ya covered my friend! lee
10-17-2014, 06:33 PM
Cheers lee, yeh it's def vac formed, I'm on a mission to find a part on it's front so I can work out the depth if the acrylic block that firms the central base of the build, trouble is a need to scan 600 pics to find a good view of it, I think I've got the basic design in my head now and will spending all week on it. The good news is there is some room to play if I get the size wrong as it's under sized to the hull opening so it can be adapted .... I even found a pic showing damage to the vac front that has damage so I can see how thick or thin it is and it's quite a flimsy pull

The cockpit detail looks amazing mate, nice work on interpreting all that greeblage!

Cheers Mike, it's been an exciting time since our trip to Paris, more id'd in ine month than the past 5 years I'd say and still turning them up each day, especially the ones that give a good indication of the actual dinebsions so it's the closet it's ever been right now. Hopefully I'll be able to display it in it's glory sooner than later :-)
10-21-2014, 10:50 AM
I hope so, a lot depends on my work load next summer. I'd love to do the show again and bring some more stuff this time
Quick update
10-22-2014, 12:36 PM
This is pretty awesome. A Slave 1 build is so overdue, it's great seeing this come together.
10-22-2014, 12:59 PM
I know what you mean, thanks its such a cool set of parts and a real headache but think ive got it pretty close....big things to come soon and I intend to build it as a full time job for the next few months so hopefully it will be completed before too long......
The things we have to do just tot paint the thing :-)
10-23-2014, 07:36 PM
Impressive.
Thanks Jase
I've decided that any more ID'n is just just hope or a bonus now, so have started to see if I can work it all out.... I don't have acrylic or time to get it cut so am going full styrene for now,,,,if it works,,,,and I can manage it.........and I don't drop it enough times to ruin it....and I don't get it completely wrong :-S
With over 60 new ID's since our trip to Paris its finally coming together, a ton of head scratching with a lot of help from some great friends
Slowly getting there, a few more bits to ID and some fabricating and I an put this to rest
11-04-2014, 02:12 PM
Oh my. That is simply outstanding craftsmanship.
11-04-2014, 10:47 PM
Agreed mate, I think the most difficult part would be figuring out the under structure assembly. Nice work Guy and thanks for getting on board with this project!

Cheers Mike, I think we know whats going to happen underneath this and for the wings now, just need to do some maths and make it all fool proof!!! This will be a tough build if its done wrong and I know it won't be so hoping its going to end up like a jigsaw that you adjust the peaces to fit rather than a load of stuff that needs more hope than maths :-)
11-05-2014, 11:45 AM
Thanks Dave, its coming together slowly but with Love :-), I'm still stuck on some parts that are well documented but never in focus enough will update some pics soon as you guys are nailing so much on the Tie etc I bet its a simple task ....just frustrating for me at the mo !!!!
These are the parts I'm hunting at the mo, its possible the pipe was scratched and the part on the left I can't find a decent pic of at all, even in my own shots, to find the centre part would be amazing?
I think I just found one!!!!
