ROTJ Endor moon Bunker Generators

Hi all, I wanted to post my first self-developed garage kit. It captures the Bunker generators see in ROTJ.

Much respect to 3D printing, but everything here is scratch-built, no printed items.

All of this is from the same found and kit parts used on the originals. The only difference is the large cup section; those cup molds no longer exist, so I used the newer generation cups that only had minor mold changes. Otherwise, everything is exactly like it was on the original. I also did everything I could to make this easy to assemble with built in dimples showing where to drill and pin, and very little mold lines.

The majority of the kit is holo-cast in resin, and includes the wood board, acrylic, and Plastruct rails for the base.

The model in the pictures here are reject parts I collected during the casting process. I am waiting on some paint to arrive this week and should be finished sometime next week, hopefully.

Despite the apparent modest size of the model, that's no small undertaking to put together a kit. Well done Joe!
I was impressed with what you shared on the RPF.

There is certainly a time and a place for 3D printing, however refreshing to see some old school kit bash work.

Very excited to see how it looks with the paint!

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, they aren't incredibly large models, but they still stand at about a foot tall each. And like you said, the casting, all hand rotated, was definitely work. Fun work though.
