So these wings have given me more drama than anything Ive molded before but their done & I am happy.
Just the base to do now. Again thank you for everyones patience. I am just trying to ensure quality will be at the least more than acceptable. After all my reputation is on the line with every kit that I post out which I am more than cautious about. Can't wait to finish this up.

Hi Jase,
everything looks great! Whats the timeplan for the cylon raider mate? Kostas
04-06-2012, 10:51 PM
2 quick questions
1. The Viper is the corrected Salzo version, where the length was corrected, right ??? 2. As far as I know, both Mikes Viper and Raider both featured a lighting-kit .. as far as I can see, yours don't ... does anyone remember who made these kits, and if they're still available? oh .. and just a third question 3. The Raider kit also features a decal sheet ... will yours do as well??
Cheers

I believe the lighting kits are available from VoodooFX.
I am not offering the lighting as its so simple to do. The Viper is the reworked V2 version & very accurate as is the Raider. Costas the Raider is on a hold for now. It is coming but won't be until after Wonderfest unfortunately. Sort of out of my hands on that one. The Shuttle is the next one on the list to get sorted. The Vipers are ready. Pictures coming today.

Hi
Sorry to repeat Can my viper have landing gear down please Also what country are you based in?? Thanks Gans
04-15-2012, 06:05 AM
Gans I am in Australia.
I will change your specifics for the kit. I still have some parts to do for the landing gear down version & the base. Again thankyou for everyones patience. Time, funding & materials have been a strain to get these kits out. The Antique Viper is fully ready to go other than the base. I totally forgot about the base ![]() Troy I will have to send you a base for your Antique Viper.
Put me down for a shuttle. It has been my grail kit for years.

Jase,
When you get to it I really want to see what the molds look like for the front half of the shuttle body. It's a complex shape I'm curious how it's done.
.
Sometimes I build and think and sometimes I just build.

Well look what just washed ashore in the Southern United States! The Antique Viper is here!
Parts were packed extremely well and arrived without any apparent breakage. In fact, they were wrapped in bubble pack so well that it seemed a shame to unwrap them - they just seemed so safe! ![]() There are some heavy chunks of resin in here; but all castings have sharp details and I can't find any apparent bubbles in inconvenient locations. There is resin "flash" on some details (see the photo of the pilot) but nothing unexpected nor difficult to clean up. The clear resin cockpit was warped; it's a thin part and I'm sure the stress of being packed in around other parts simply compressed it a bit. A few seconds (literally) with a hair dryer and I had it straightened out. A bit of trimming on the excess resin from the pour stub and it will be a simple and perfect fit in the cockpit tub. Look at the detail on those engine nozzles! Woo hoo! Highly recommended, everyone. Get yours while they're hot !!

Jason,
Do we need to start paying? Also, how many of the vipers will fit in one posting box? Myself, Jedimaster and Muzza are all within spitting distance of one another and see each other (reasonably) regularly. And finally, please don't forget, I want two (2) of these, one up and one down (gear that is!!) ![]() Cheers and thanks for your efforts, JT
04-28-2012, 06:19 AM
JT sorry I didn't realise you wanted both.
The SS Viper gear up is available now. I didn't put you on the PM list as thought you just wanted the gear down version. I can ship 3 kits in one bow no problemo. Where is it going & I will calculate the cost.

I'll echo them statements as well, looking great there mate!
I know from talking with Jase he has no plans on letting the quality level slip that Mike had shown with his offerings of these fantasic kit's. For the people wanting to own one now or down the track, the news is all good!!

Hi Jase
Now when i see the clear parts for the viper, i have one question: Is it possible to cast a clear canopy for the raider? Because i plan to make a cockpit interrior with pilots. Thanks
04-30-2012, 06:48 PM
Sure I can cast the canopy in clear no problemo..

Landing gear version Vipers are ready!!!
I have just spent the morning assembleing the first landing gear set(cause I had no frakn idea how it went together......) So this landing gear was made from the actual plans made off the miniature that was used for filming to build the full scale set Vipers. If that didn't make sense then the Viper miniature that was built for filming was used to make the plans off to build a full scale set. So all the parts used in the plans were drawn off actual kit parts. The full set Viper is a scaled up miniature with all the same details. The instructions are the set plans! Ive wacked some together quickly & when I say quickly I mean quickly so don't be too picky when I post the piocs. I hope to have some pictures up l;ater for you guys eagerly awaiting this kit. |
