OK, I was just wondering why these are being redone so many times. I don't know a whole lot about the Apogee projects, I obviously wasn't around then, but I wonder how you guys are going about figuring the plans for this things' body shape. I guess trial, and error with the kit parts you all have will go a long way to getting the job done correctly.

its all about having the right parts to make them fit the space. its awesome to see how different they all are. The G's that is.

None of the plans to date are 'perfect' or more so 100% accurate. Charles's plans are the closest but even he has redone his latest plans with the new information he got that hasn't been passed on to date. So it is a bit of trial & error. Give it a go & if its not right live with it or fix it.

That's the only way to do it! Stay on target....Stay on target. Slow and steady wins the race. I just hope that you'll all get your Galacticas done soon, so the rest of us that need it can get some help with our projects. I don't want to detract from your builds with a bunch of whitewash anymore - I'll stick it out as I've done before with the references, and kits that I do have access to. Keep at it, guys - you're doing a great job with what you have so far.

hey guys, sorry i havent been updating much. I've been busy with other non Galactica things around here. A very good friend of mine has been sick over the last year with heart faliure and I'm in the process of helping him and his wife move into an apartment.
I've been friends with jeff for close to 10 years now. we meet one day when I was out cutting my grass in my stormtrooper helmet. And from that day we've been great friends(even if he does like star trek) LOL. He's an amazing person and a huge sci fi fan. I've learned alot of stuff from him about trek that I never knew. When I got in to prop building he was there to bounce stuff off of. He was thrilled when I told him I was going to build the Galactica.
We have so many plans for the future to go places and build stuff but, unless the God's send down a miralce I dont see any of it happening. It's very hard as some of you may know to watch someone that you care about just disappear slowly . And that makes me sad and down. I really am hoping for him to see the galactica done....I'm praying. thanks for reading. Ron

That is amazing that you found such a great friendship with a random bit of silliness.

I think it would be fitting on your next visit to see Jeff and his wife to give him the gift of a Stormtrooper helmet That would be a wonderfully meaningful house warming gift for a dear friend.

Got my friend and his wife moved in the new apartment over the weekend, He is doing alittle better. Got him to sign up for disability at the beginning of the week so hopefully that'll come thru. havent worked on the G for acouple weeks so it time to jump back in this week later Ron

hey guys, sorry I havent been here in awhile. I've been busy with the holidays. ON a sad note my friend jeff past way this morning at his desk online( not a bad way to go I guess) He will be missed. makes me sad that we'll never get to do the things we wanted to do together. he'll never see the G done. From what I've been told he'll be laid to rest in his starfleet officers uniform ( A Treker till the end)

I'm back and have been working on the Battlestar some over the last year or so.
I moved it into my house and out of the garage. Was talking to Jason tonight and I'm getting motivated to get this project back on. I'll post some pics of her.

Hey all. Still working away on the battlestar. Sadly its taking me alot of time here and there to get it going. Life sucks sometimes.lol. Ive been posting some pics on the studio scale modelers group on facebook from time to time.

Any time you take a break from the G it takes a while to get back into it.
That can be a good thing as it gives you the chance to revisit sections with a critical eye.
Don't worry there is no prize for finishing fast, it's not a race it is a hobby and nothing more.

And if you were hoping to take the longest to complete your build I have that category hands down at over twenty years !
